Approx. 100 k east of Alice Springs, the project has been historical favored for base metals, particularly copper exploration Much of the previous explorer identified anomalous mineralization but little follow up work was competed. In addition, the sequence of a shallow marine sediments together with regional structures provides highly prospective opportunities for rare earth and possibly uranium within the same tenement area. Historically minor exploration in the area was for base metals and diamonds but now opportunities to include lithium and REE within sediments has been highlighted. This model globally is becoming recognised as major new discoveries and deposit types are found. The original anomalous base metals results offer several targets paving the way for immediate value add and potential discovery. Exploration by Normandy identified low-level Zn and Mn of around 0.24% and 8.1% respectively but never followed up.
For critical metals, the host rock of special interest is primarily a carbonate-rich horizon known to contain phosphates at the surface and limestone Opportunities for sedimentary hosted base metals critical metals within the folded marine sequence and clays. Approx 2,455km2 area is proposed.
