Commodities Base metals

The Amadeus tenement package extends over around 2,000km² in the Amadeus Basin approx. 120km east of Alice Springs. The ground has been selected principally with exploration targeting for base metals in mind.

Geological parallels can be drawn with the Paterson Province in Western Australia and the Neoproterozoic African Copperbelt basins; in comparison, the Amadeus Basin has received a fraction of the exploration activity.

The Central Oz Basins Resource Assessment (COBRA) initiative (2012–2015) generated an integrated 3D model of the Amadeus Basin and concluded that the region is highly prospective for hosting potential economic base metal deposits.
