Unlocking the future

Projects

The key aspect to the selection of the exploration ground is areas of new ideas and new models that have not yet been tested. Often with latest research and scientific thinking, there is little to no previous results to go by. The importance of accurately identifying the geological setting and applying subtle clues from the literature on genesis of the deposits is paramount, particularly the growing awareness of significant rare earth elements and Li mineralisation within geological settings not previously considered. Such recent discoveries include lithium in metasomatic alteration of sediments adjacent to granites; phosphates or phosphorites as a common host for REE; copper in sedimentary settings in domain not previously considered as prospective; lithium in clays within marine or lake sediments. These not only provide excellent targets, but often the extraction of the critical metals especially from simple deposition environments like clay is easily and efficiently done.”.
